Tree Trust Program with Central Park Conservancy

The founder of Gershman Law, PLLC, a New York City-based boutique corporate law firm, Dyan Gershman works with both individuals and corporations on a wide range of matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and complex commercial contracts. Involved with several charitable organizations focused on New York City’s outdoor parks and gardens, Dyan Gershman is a supporter of the Central Park Conservancy.

Established in 1984 by a group of New York citizens, the Central Park Conservancy contributes more than $78 million to the park’s care each year. In addition, the Conservancy operates programs such as the Tree Trust, which contributes to the care and maintenance of more than 18,000 trees throughout the park.

Donors can endow a mature tree for a milestone such as a birthday or an anniversary, creating a living memory that will last a lifetime. Donors might also contribute to honoring the memory of a loved one. For donations of $5,000 and up, donors receive a commemorative granite paving stone on Literary Walk, while gifts of $500 and up fund the planting of a sapling. To make fundraising simple, the organization invites individuals to use the TreeMark program, a convenient group fundraising tool.

Group Training with the New York Road Runners

A New York corporate attorney, Dyan Gershman has more than 25 years of experience in legal areas such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and technology and intellectual property licensing. An avid runner in her free time, Dyan Gershman trains with the New York Road Runners (NYRR).

The country’s largest non-profit running organization, the NYRR has been serving the community through running for more than 60 years. In addition to organizing the New York Marathon, the club hosts weekly group running workouts for local New Yorkers of all running levels. At each group session, coaches guide participants through a warm-up, followed by a challenging workout that may include a tempo run or interval training. Each hour-long session also includes time to work on flexibility and strength.

Held in various New York City parks, group running workouts aim to cultivate camaraderie and community among runners in a healthy, supportive environment. To view a schedule, pricing, or to enroll, visit http://www.nyrr.org.
