A graduate of Boston College Law School, Dyan Gershman has worked as a partner at Gershman Law, PLLC, in New York City since establishing the boutique corporate law firm in 2014. As a New York-based attorney, Dyan Gershman has established herself as a member of local professional groups, such as the New York Women’s Bar Association.
For nearly a century, the New York Women’s Bar Association (NYWBA) has advocated on behalf of women lawyers in areas of education and professional advancement. In order to meet the diverse needs of NYWBA membership, the organization maintains a number of standing committees, as well as several special committees.
Many of the organization’s standing committees focus on broad areas of law, such as the Judiciary and Legislation Committees. The organization has developed committees dedicated to the NYWBA mission, including the Employment and Equal opportunity for Women Committee. Other standing committees allow members to further support the NYWBA, with opportunities ranging from the Membership Committee to the committee responsible for coordinating programs and events.
NYWBA special committees, meanwhile, offer more specialized professional opportunities. Examples include the Animal Law Committee and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Any NYWBA member interested in joining a standing or special committee should visit nywba.org.
