
Dyan Gershman is the founding partner of Gershman Law, PLLC based in New York City. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in the areas of corporate law and M&A, Dyan Gershman provides U.S. and international clients with a wide range of legal advice and services in the core business-related practice areas of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, technology and intellectual property licensing, and equity investments.
Prior to establishing her firm, Ms. Gershman gained extensive U.S. and cross-border corporate and M&A experience in the New York office of the internationally renowned global law firm Jones Day, and as an executive-level lawyer at both Bristol-Myers Squibb’s worldwide headquarters in New York City and General Electric Company’s worldwide headquarters in Fairfield, Connecticut. In these roles, Ms. Gershman led a wide range of complex international M&A and corporate transactions, from small and mid-sized deals, to multi-billion dollar acquisitions. At Bristol-Myers Squibb, Ms. Gershman was awarded the President’s Award for Outstanding Achievement, the company’s highest honor, and at GE her performance earned her the prestigious CEO Award.
Ms. Gershman studied law at Boston College Law School where she was an Executive Editor of the Boston College Law Review, and graduated cum laude. She also completed a liberal arts and sciences undergraduate degree at Colorado College, during which time she was awarded the coveted Thomas J. Watson Fellowship. This graduate fellowship supported a year-long study of French architectural historic preservation in Paris. Ms. Gershman has lived in France and Italy on multiple occasions, and is fluent in French and conversant in Italian.
