Attorney Dyan Gershman is based in New York City, where she founded Gershman Law, PLLC, a boutique corporate law firm, in 2014. Dyan Gershman belongs to number of legal organizations, including The New York Women’s Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association. In her free time, Dyan enjoys all the culture that New York City has to offer; music, Broadway shows and museums. Dyan Gershman is a member of a number of museums in New York City, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
MoMA is one of New York City’s best known and most highly esteemed cultural institutions, with a large and diverse collection of modern art. MoMA closed its doors temporarily on June 15, 2019 and will reopen in late October 2019. The reason? To complete the final stage of its $400 million major renovation, which includes expansive new galleries and spaces for performances and events, and changes to how its famous modern and contemporary art is displayed.
The original art collection will remain, but the museum will now have an additional 40,000 square feet of space, with which it plans to highlight new works by women, Latinos, African-Americans, Asians, and other artists from diverse backgrounds and geographies. The renovation will also allow for more mixing of media, juxtaposing paintings and sculptures with performance and film.
MoMA will reopen on October 21 with an exhibit celebrating modern Latin American art, and 11 installations from living artists from the past two decades.
